Planned Precincts – Epping Town Centre
Planned Precincts are one of the NSW Government’s primary means for planning for Sydney’s growth. The State-led rezoning process provides the opportunity for councils to work collaboratively with the NSW Government to increase development capacity in well-serviced, strategic locations. Epping Town Centre was the first Planned Precinct announced and master-planned by the State Government.
Since the announcement, a strong housing market has seen the Epping Town Centre experience unprecedented levels of redevelopment and growth. As part of the redevelopment, MPN was recently commissioned to deliver structural design, engineering and consulting services for Epping ‘Site A’ (located at the corner of Carlingford Road and Rawson Street). The proposed development, designed by architects Kannfinch and project managed by Oakstand, includes three mixed-use basement levels (for retail, loading dock and car parking), ground floor retail level, level 1 for commercial use and three towers, up to 23 levels for both residential and commercial use.
