This is a great opportunity for a Structural Drafter to work on a wide variety of projects alongside an expert team of highly specialised engineers & drafters.

We are looking for a Structural Design professional who is self-motivated, with a focus on successfully planning and completing assigned drafting projects, within company and project standards. The ability to consistently produce high-quality documentation in agreed time frames and budgets will be key to success in this role.

You will enjoy using AutoCAD and possess the following:

  • High Proficiency using AutoCAD, minimum 5 years of local experience as a Structural Drafter (essential)
  • Hands-on Revit experience, minimum 1-2 years
  • Relevant Structural qualification – Diploma or TAFE qualified (essential)
  • Ideally experienced in drafting mid/high residential projects with detailing RC concrete, steel and timber
  • Post tension knowledge (beneficial)
  • Proven background in drafting various projects from start to finish, working under pressure and in a timely manner, with experience in commercial, mixed-use, retail, and residential projects
  • Microsoft Office suite of products (essential)

STRUCTURAL / SITE ENGINEER

We are keen to hear from self-motivated Structural Engineering professionals with 5-10 years of substantial local experience, including:

  • Site Inspections of a wide variety of construction methods/techniques
  • Report Writing
  • Managing client relationships and expectations
  • Managing projects through to the construction phase, with the confidence to handle project pressures and the ability to complete tasks from start to finish in a timely manner.

We are keen to hear from self-motivated Structural Engineering professionals with 5-10 years of substantial local experience, including:

  • Site Inspections of a wide variety of construction methods/techniques
  • Report Writing
  • Managing client relationships and expectations
  • Managing projects through to the construction phase, with the confidence to handle project pressures and the ability to complete tasks from start to finish in a timely manner.

Role Responsibilities

This role predominately requires the incumbent to:

  • Conduct site visits for project managers and design team members
  • Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, regular construction site observation, defects recording and advices related to rectification of works
  • Prepare design calculations, sketches and/or annotated drawings, notes and specifications, design analysis and construction advice

Technical skills

  • Detailed Concrete design; both post-tension and conventionally reinforced slabs, columns, footings and retention systems, precast, etc.
  • Steel and timber structural design
  • Structural Design with mid/high rise residential and commercial projects
  • Lateral analysis and design, loading studies using relevant software (e.g. etabs, RC Building, Strand 7, Micro-Stran, Rapt, RAM Concepts)
  • Thorough knowledge of Building Code and Australian Standards
  • Proven background of projects from start to finish
  • Microsoft Office suite of products (essential), particularly excel & word
  • Strong verbal and written communication/ presentation skills (essential) Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s /Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (BE) and MIEAust (essential), CPEng (beneficial)
  • Excellent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills and client liaison capability
  • Minimum five years’ local experience (is a must), in a professional business environment in a similar role.
